Detroit Lions, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown Agree to Long-Term Extension

$120 Million Deal Keeps Lions Star in Detroit

Contract Extension: A Win-Win for Both Sides

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has agreed to a lucrative four-year, $120 million contract extension with the team. The deal, which was reported by several outlets, secures St. Brown's future in Detroit for the foreseeable future and makes him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

St. Brown, who was drafted by the Lions in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has quickly established himself as a star in Detroit. In his first two seasons with the team, he has recorded over 1,500 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2022 after leading the Lions in receiving with 1,161 yards.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes expressed his excitement about the extension, saying, "Amon-Ra is a special talent and we are thrilled to have him as a part of our team for the long term. He is a dynamic playmaker who has quickly become one of the top receivers in the NFL. We believe he has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the league and we are excited to see what he can accomplish in the years to come."

St. Brown, who was originally scheduled to become a free agent in 2024, is now locked up with the Lions through the 2027 season. He is expected to be a key part of Detroit's offense for years to come as the team looks to build on its recent success and compete for a Super Bowl title.
