Celtics' 73 Point Duo Not Enough to Tame Mavericks
Celtics drop third straight game after 119-110 loss to Mavericks
Tatum, Brown combine for 73 points, but Celtics still fall short
BOSTON (AP) — Despite a combined 73 points from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics dropped their third straight game with a 119-110 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.
Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 32 points, including five 3-pointers, while Brown added 31 points. However, it was not enough to overcome a balanced scoring attack from the Mavericks, who had six players score in double figures.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 29 points and 9 assists, while Spencer Dinwiddie added 23 points and 7 assists. Kristaps Porzingis also had a strong game with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
