Former Vol Hits First Career Two-Home Run Game

Young Star Continues to Impress in Minor Leagues

Christian Moore, the former University of Tennessee second baseman, made history on Tuesday night with a walk-off two-run home run for the Inland Empire 66ers, a Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.

It was a historic night for Moore, who became the first player in franchise history to hit two home runs and drive in three runs in his professional debut. The 24-year-old went 4-for-6 at the plate, showcasing his impressive bat speed and power.

Moore's walk-off home run came in the bottom of the ninth inning with the 66ers trailing 2-1. With runners on first and second, Moore connected with a fastball and sent it deep over the left-field wall, giving his team a thrilling victory.

The home run was Moore's first career walk-off hit and capped a remarkable night for the young infielder. He was selected by the Angels with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft and is considered one of the top prospects in the organization.

Moore's impressive performance in his first two professional games has sent shockwaves through the baseball world. He is expected to continue his development in the Angels' minor league system and could potentially make his Major League debut in the near future.
